1. Committee Membership
ACORD welcomed Michela Goodwin and Izabela Hoang as new Committee members.
John Timoney’s ACORD term came to an end with him attending his final ACORD meeting. ACORD would like to thank John for his contributions to the Committee over the past three years, most notably as its treasurer.
With ACORD’s Secretary Lisa Maclean on leave of absence for approximately 12 months, Sara Davidsson will step in as temporary Secretary.
2. NSLA RDA Project
Aimee Hay (Program Coordinator at National and State Libraries Australasia) prepared a presentation for the RDA Steering Committee Public Session on 18 November 2025 which can be watched on the RDA Toolkit’s YouTube channel.
3. Rare Materials
Following consultation with ALIA Rare Cataloguing and a formal submission to Trove, ACORD was joined by Nikki Darby from Trove to further discuss rare materials cataloguing in the Australian National Bibliographic Database (ANBD). Notes will be provided to ALIA Rare Cataloguing who will continue the conversation with Trove.
4. Trove Metadata Manager
The library community is encouraged to keep providing feedback to Trove on the Trove Metadata Manager through their support form. Known issues can be found on Trove’s website.
Round-up of Community of Practice and Project updates:
- Cataloguers’ Catch-Up – Stay tuned for the first one of 2026 which is yet to be announced.
- Reparative Description CoP – The CoP will meet every second month in 2026, with the first meeting scheduled for February.
- Schools Cataloguing CoP – The next meeting will be scheduled shortly for term 1.
