History

The Australian Committee on Cataloguing (ACOC), a joint committee of ALIA and the National Library of Australia, represented the interests of the cataloguing and resource description community for over 40 years. In 2019, ACOC ceased and its members decided to form an ALIA Group, with the aim of continuing ACOC’s role and broadening the focus to the full spectrum of resource description activities. The official handover took place at the ALIA Annual General Meeting on 20 May 2019.
